Brantford police say they are continuing to search for two suspects they say spray painted “hateful remarks and symbols” on the walls and parking lot of the Brantford Mosque, and are calling out to the public for help.

The remarks targeted Muslims and the incident is being treated as a hate crime.

Police say they have been searching for the suspects since the graffiti was painted around 2:20 a.m. on Oct. 21.

Investigators say the suspects appear to be young males with average height and a slim build. Police say both males were wearing long pants and hoodies and carrying backpacks. One of the suspects had an image of a bull head on his sweater.

Police say they take the incident “very seriously” and are asking anyone with information to contact Det. Jason Sinning at 519-756-0113 ext. 2265 or Crime Stoppers at 519-750-8477.
